  • He graduated with honours from the University of Khartoum, Faculty of Law, in 1975.

He studied English common law with courses in Islamic law.

  • From 1975 to 1985, he worked as a legal advisor and general prosecutor in Sudan’s Ministry of Justice (Attorney General Chamber).

The scope of work was handling criminal cases and drafting and revision contracts after joining the Department of International Agreements.

  • In 1978 he was awarded a scholarship funded by the British Commonwealth to Kenya. He obtained a master’s degree in drafting legal legislation for one year and four months.

He becomes familiar with drafting all contracts and agreements in English with a comparative study of legal legislation in all Commonwealth countries.

  • He came to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 1985 to work as a legal advisor at Al-Shamlan Law Firm in Dammam.

The scope of work includes studying cases, preparing legal notes and responses, preparing, drafting and reviewing contracts, and providing legal advice.

  • In 1989 he worked as an in-house legal advisor for the Saudi Fisheries Company “Joint Stock Company” in Dammam.

He prepared legal memos, drafting and reviewing contracts for shipping and maritime contracts, construction, import and export.

One of the most significant achievements is the actual and direct participation with a reputable law firm in the US, Gray Plant Mooty Firm”, to draft the Franchise system for the company. In 1991 The Saudi Fisheries Company was considered the leader and pioneer in introducing and implementing the franchise system in all the Middle East and Gulf countries. The US law firm appraised his legal competency and excellent contribution. He has translated the franchise model into Arabic and thereafter applied in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

He also presented several legal workshops relating to franchises for several regional companies in the kingdom. He also made several attempts with the company with the Ministry of Commerce for the recognition of the franchise system as an agency agreement. “Now franchise system is considered as one of the types of agency contracts” in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. 

  • In 2002 he worked as a Senior Legal Advisor to the Saudi Telecom Company in Riyadh.

He was the legal coordinator between the Saudi Telecom Company and the Canadian telecom company BlackBerry, helping to introduce the BlackBerry phone into the Kingdom. 

  • From 2003 to 2019, he worked as the Head of the Legal Department of the Mohammed Bin Salem Al-Suwaidi Group of Companies (Holding Company) in Ras Tanura and Al Khobar.

Al-Suwaidi Group of Companies includes several subsidiaries with various diversified commercial activities, for example, Al-Suwaidi Industrial Services Company, Al-Suwaidi Catering and Food Services Company, Al-Suwaidi Real Estate Company, Al-Suwaidi Heavy Equipment and Transportation Company, Al-Suwaidi Scaffolding Company, Al-Suwaidi Tourism and Transportation Company, Al-Suwaidi Galvanized Steel Company, Al-Suwaidi Company For chemical fertiliser. The companies include more than 30,000 workers in all regions of the Kingdom.

The scope of work includes:

Drafting and reviewing construction, and infrastructure contracts and the contracts for scaffolding and support services, supply and lease contracts, sale and purchase contracts, and employment contracts, oil and gas contracts. The scope of work also includes labour cases, commercial cases, national and international arbitration and dispute settlement, including (the Commercial Arbitration Center for the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf).

He attended several courses outside the Kingdom concerning construction contracts “FDIC” concerning EPC and EPCIC contracts. He participated with the office of Mayer Brown law firm” and “Hill international law firm” in providing a legal opinion in many cases of construction contracts.

He also conducted several workshops and seminars regarding FDIC contracts and international contracts for “The Sudanese Legal Advisers and Lawyers Association” in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which includes more than 150 lawyers and consultants in the Eastern Province.

  • In 2020, he worked as a Senior Legal Advisor and Head of the Contracts Department at Legal Solutions Company LSL in Al-Khobar “Owner Dr Ali Al-Baridi”.

He rendered legal services for Foreign Investment in drafting and reviewing mega contracts.
